Well, Castaway was on BBC1 the other night, and IMHO is one of the best films... but anyways,

What do you think the crossroaRAB at the end really simbolise? And what road do you think Chuck chooses?

In the directors commentary, Robert Zemericks never says, but he does mention that the woman who owns the 'angel wings' farm factory place is no longer with her husband - as his name is no longer on the arch above her entrance... does this mean he would go back with her?
 
we will never know cause thats were they finished the film so there mustnt have ploted what would happen nxt otherwise the film wouldnt of finishes with him at the crossroaRAB.
