So we take your car. We give you one that gives you one 10 miles per gallon better. We take your car and ship it over on a big diesel truck over to a scrapping yard. No carbon emissions involved there. Then machines grind them down, again, no emissions there. I am sure, that next it goes on a green solar powered tanker over to China where it is remelted down. got to love the government.
 
How many cars does that diesel truck hold? What are the emissions from the grinder? How many ground up cars can the tanker hold? Now compare that to how much emissions those old cars were putting out! You need data before you can make such blatantly stupid assumptions.
 
And don't forget the environmental cost of building the new car as well.

And the 10 miles per gallon is wishful thinking. I believe the limit is only from below 18 mpg to above 22 mpg.
 
Those are all one time expenditures rather than the continuous expenditure of daily driving and oil consumption...

Those machines would be grinding something down anyways, the tankers would still be used, and China will continue to melt things down...
 
This is really a plan to ruin the engine of America...Obama wants the US destroyed!
