Cartoonists and their friends

Now every now and then there's someone in the animation industry or comic book industry that happens to be friends with one paticular cartoonist. Or someone else like voice actor, writer, or even video game designer. So who are cartoonists that you know that have friends? I only know 2 on the top of my head.

Ralph Bakshi is friends with voice actor Charles Adler, and one my friends told me that Bill Watterson{calvin and hobbes} was good friends with Charles Schultz{Peanuts}. I used to think that Bill had somewhat of a friendship with R.Crumb.
 
Actuall Bill Waterson claimed that he never met Schulz; I think it was in his review of David Michaelis' biography of Schulz or it may have even been in the article he wrote when it was announced Peanuts was ending. Schulz was friends with For Better or For Worse cartoonist Lynn Johnston however.
 
I don't think Bill knows Crumb. I don't think Bill knows anybody.

There's also Sergio Aragones and Mark Evanier. Mark's been involved as writer in a lot of Aragones' comics, and they plug each other on their blogs frequently.
