Carrier unlock for iphone 4 baseband 02.10.04?

hi took my iphone 4 bought in asia american model to this shop and to fix it they had to update my iphone .. since they didnt know much about it they updated my iphone to 4.1 so now my iphone is not unlocked anymore... and when i look at my carrier it says carrier => not available also i cant choose carrier and the sim card is not recognized...
what is the solution?

I was also held up with a similar situation few weeks ago.
