I custom built a desktop PC, from processor to 4 hard drives. I want to put a computer into my car, what are some good sites or good tips that I can use to put (essentially) a powerful desktop computer in a car.
I'm not too big on pre-built crud, they are too slow.
My home comp is a C2D, 2GB Ram, 8800 GT, 1.07 TB HDspace. I want something MORE powerful in a carputer.
How does power work? There's really no wall plug-in in a car, and I'm pretty sure that the 220 watts that my home computer draws out of the wall is too much for a regular alternator to handle.
Of course the 8800 GT isn't necessary, and draws probably a third to half that power, it can go.
