My husband and I own a bar/nightclub. It is in a really small town, so it isn't like a nightclub that you see in big cities or whatever, but it is a nightclub for our area if that makes any sense. Well anyway, the dance floor is concrete that has been painted several times over the years. We just bought the club a year ago, and we are wanting to upgrade the dance floor. The building use to be a car repair shop and before that it was a cattle barn or something, so the concrete is uneven in places and has some oil spots so the paint only lasts about 6 months and starts peeling. What could we do for a dance floor that is not very costly? I was thinking of maybe having someone build a deck like thing above the concrete (maybe only 3 inches off the floor) and putting tile down. Any other options? My husband isn't a carpenter, so he doesn't have any ideas either. Please help..thanks so much!

level the floor with self leveling cement and then tile right on that. Just make sure you take the paint off first.
You dont want to put any wood over the cement if you can help it, that just makes the floor have movement. good luck!
