Careers helping the environment/the earth's future?

NO THIS WAS NOT INSPIRED BY 2012

I've had these thoughts way before that movie, I haven't even saw it, or the full advert

Inspired by talk of global warming, the ice-caps melting, the polar bears, pollution, something about China's air quality before the olympics, deforestation, less bees in the uk(?), statistics, etc. I hate the thought that we are doing harm, I've heard that mans contribution is tiny and it's all natural but we've got to be doing a lot of damage I don't know how it can be dismissed?


What careers are there that help our planet?
 
Environmental Engineering- I am majoring in that and its great! It is a hard major but not AS BAD AS other majors. You have a variety of careers to ensue after graduation, I myself will be entering the water treatment industry which includes preparing water for drinking and other uses but you can also become a consultant to companies for becoming greener and more efficient techniques.
