I am trying to figure out what to do as a career, which means I have to figure out what my major and minor will be. (I just completed my freshman year of college, and right now am planning on doing special elementary education.. which don't get me wrong would be amazing, but I'm not totally in love with it.) I was talking to my psychiatrist today about a canoeing trip I did last summer, and she noticed how in love I am with the outdoors. She suggested trying to find a career that fits this, such as something that has to do with leading canoe trips or just camping in general. Is there any kind of major I could do that would guide me towards this?
I know that there are ways to get involved with this kind of stuff, such as NOLS, working at REI etc. But I really want this to be my career....
