I am a degree qualified civil/structural engineer (based in the UK) and would like to know how to convert to become an electronics engineer. My degree course 20 years ago had a electronics component for the first two years, but then I opted for civil/structural engineering in the final 2 years. I wondered if i could train up in my own time, perhaps taking online course - open University for example. I loved electronics at school and am intrigued what a career as an electronics engineer is like. Any and all advice warmly welcomed.
