Cardiology [education] Preparation question?

I have a question about what courses I should take in high school if I'm interested in getting into cardiology? I'm currently interested in becoming a cardiologist, I took an honors biology course and got a 97% in it the entire year, and I got 100% on a test of the human heart [I understand the heart pretty well I think], and what I didn't know is what courses should I be taking in high school if I'm interested in cardiology as a possible career? Thanks so much!

Take all the math and lab science you can. In college, major in whatever you want and take the premed classes in bio, chem, physics, math, and English. Keep your college GPA over 3.5 and do well on the MCATs. Then you've got 4 more years of med school, where you start to specialize a few years in, and then 5+ years of residency in cardiology (more if you want to be a surgeon).

Pretty much every college offers the premed classes (not a major) so find the best college you can get into that you like and go from there.
