Cardcaptor Sakura haircut: photos and opinions?

I'm seriously thinking about getting my hair cut like Sakura Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura. I told some friends and one or two said I would look like a 9 year old and very childish. I think it's a beautiful haircut. I'm 17. Also I want to get photos if it's possible of girls with that haircut, not wigs. The style looks great on anime but I'm afraid the result may not be the same in reality. Thanks!

this was my graduation yearbook picture last year i'm 19 right now so i dont think it looks childish. i've had this cut since i was about 9. i would suggest asking a friend who may do wig styling to assist and cut it yourself. i used a salon for about 3 years with pictures and i still got bad results. also i made a tutorial here^^
