Carbon fibre clear or polish?

I was thinking of selling mine, but what would I buy? The new 1200 base model perhaps, but I like the simplicity of the 2 valver. There's nothing out there quite like the multi.

i suspect the 2v Multi's will hold their value for a while, a lot of people like the 2v motors and will not go 4v simply for maintenance costs and fuel consumption.. will be interesting to see how the values hold up..

Welcome fellow Aussie.

How old is this cover that you speak of?

Sounds like and old one and was probably never cleared over. When the old stuff gets wet it can go almost white in my experience.

A coat of clear coat will put a shine to it. Pledge is the same as Mr Sheen so I'v been told.

Good idea about the clear coat, but it'll still be grey underneath. Who does clear coats anyway? Come to think of it I couldn't be bothered buying a new cover, as the bike's an 04 model, and I may be selling it anyway, but what, oh what will I use for touring?

Yep - they don't last forever, the old ones.

This was some of mine (10 years old & 20k km) after getting caught in the rain.

I had to polish the white out, it can be done, and then cleared over it myself.
Good as new...... almost.

Don't mind Jules Davidf - his sarcasim rivals that of us Aussies.
It did shine up well though. Maybe not as dark as new stuff but 95% as good as new.
