I have a project about the history of the carbon atom. We have to make up a story about how a carbon atom that exists as part of us now came to be part of us and how it was recycled through different organisms in the past. The atom was in a cow and it has just died and I want the carbon atom to go into the sediment. Just how is this possible? What form is it in when it seeps into the gorund and how does it get to a nearby stream and what form would it be in then. Thankyou in advance!
