for the people that have tried both or just have opinions does one seem to help more then the other like if the pill didnt help as much for someone would trying the liquid be any different?

I was just given a prescription for liquid carafate but have not taken it yet. One reason is that I'm a little worrywart when it comes to taking new meRAB and the other issue is I wonder how I'm going to take a liquid med 4 times a day when at work or on the go all day and how to cordinate it with my other meRAB including Nexium 2X day. whe I asked the pharmacist he was surprised the GI doc didn't tell me to stop the Nexium.
Are you on carafate? doe sit work? any side effects? do you take Nexium or other PPI?

yes im on nexium as well..ive read about on carafate alot and i dont see no interactions with nexium or nay other ppi except with other meRAB you should always take carafate 2 hours before or 2 hours after them..carafate pills havnt cured me by any means but without them i would be much worse

i also take Nexium and i take the liquid Carafate. For me the liquid Carafate works much faster than the pill carafate.

You may just need to try and see which one works best for you.
i had to give a try with both before i realized the Liquid works faster for me.
This may be the opposite for you but thought i'd share what i have found that's best for me.

I have easophagus/stomach irritation. I drink carafate liquid. I feel sore, pain when carafate absorb where the irritation is. Do u feel the same?. I've been on the carafate for 4 days. I do not feel better yet.

I am on my fourth day of Carafate and am getting burning in the affected areas. It also seems to make me fatigued/drowsy. My pharmacist said she'd never heard of that with Caarafate but when she looked it up it seems under 1% of users have that. Lucky me.

Sunrang, i apologize for not posting back sooner. Actually just came back across this post today.

I do have a throat burning sensation when i swallow the liquid carafate.
The burning sensation i have could be from the esophagitis i have.

Hope you are having better results now.
