car written off, advice needed please?

Accident not my fault. Other driver admitted it at scene (hed answered his phone and hit my parked car) insurance is taking from my payout for new car the remaining of my car insurance premium which is 50 per month and i have 6 months left. Why is this?? it leaves me with a small amount for a new car but if i dont get new car and cancel insurance this is not refunded so in brief - get another car your insurance is paid for 6 mths but i will need exactly the same car or i cancel due to no money for new car but get no refund so i pay for 12 mths but have only used 6 months??? er why??? hope this makes sense, thanx xx
