Car wouldnt start, seized. It's now running...?

My nissan almera (qg18de) seized after being in storage.
I tried turning the crankshaft bolt manually, and it wouldnt turn.
I then removed the drive belt which connects crankshaft + altenator + idler pulley + air con compressor. I could then turn the engine manually using crankshaft bolt. After that it fired back up straightaway!

With the engine off, I tried turning the other components by hand. The altenator + idler pulley turn easily by hand, but the compressor wont budge.

Does this mean a bad compressor (i.e. it's seized), or is it perfectly normal for the compressor to not turn by hand??

If it is a bad compressor, whats the solution, other than getting a new one!
