me and my ex girlfriend split up lastyear. i live in texas. i bought a car and it went in my name at the time of purchase. when we split up she kept the car and my SIGNED blue title in her posession. i havent really been worried about it because its only a $7000 car but now I dont have a car. its been 6 months and she still hasnt put the car into her name (thank God). but i just want to be sure if i go pick up the car i will not be steeling it ... ummmm from myself. because she will still have MY signed title in her posession. there is no contract or anything between us and even if i am able to recover the car, will i be able to obtain a title that will "overwrite" the blue title she has of mine? thanks
