car title not changed/Mechanic Lien?

You are not responsble for reoair cost the work order authorizing work req a sig os ssn they cant touch you but if car is still in husbands name then yes just go to repair shop pay the bill and take car.

My husband sold his car (69 Firebird) well over a year ago. Apparently the person he sold it to never transferred the title. The car now has a Mechanics lien against it for work done at a shop. This work was not issued by my husband and I am wondering if the mechanic can even place a lien on it? Also is there any way of getting the car back?
