Car tire on my Road King

It might work...but I'm not going to try it....I have a hard time with the premise that:

one guy trying it successfully is > many hours of engineering that lead to the development of motorcycle tires.....

I'm tired of this thread......don't know why I keep clicking on it.......
 
Don't Boss Hoss bikes come with car tires on the rear? If they put them on their bikes, then why can't you put one on a Harley?
 
OK i have been open minded about this...I can't put one on my bike w/o major mods...The other day i rode with a Buddyt who has a 07 Goldwing...Saw that he had a M/C tire on after having a C/T...I asked him why...He said he got a flat and had to react quickly for a trip so he went back to a m/t...Asked him what he thought? Said that he didn't notice much change going from a worn out M/C to a C/T , Handled good and didn't worry him or have no squitily feelings about the C/T but when he went from The C/T to the M/T..WOW...He said no comparison at all for the type of riding he does he won't go back to the Car Tire.
He said that if he started towing a trailer a lot and staying on the Highway he might go back to the C/T but for now it's defenitely a Bike tire...
I just wanted to throw this in. I don't have any personnal opinion because i haven't tried it and i would if i could.
 
It always makes me laugh when hear all that say you cannot run a car tire on a motorcycle.Obviously they have never tried it,and are stuck in the Crowd Mentality.Back in the 60's before good motorcycle tires a lot of us were running VW tires as we all claimed.We rode our bikes as hard as they could be ridden twisties and all,never the least bit concerned about sliding off the road.The reason you ask,is because there was NEVER any reason to be concerned.So tell me, how can so many on this site say you cannot run car tires and have never tried.
 
If Boss Hoss put C/T on their bikes and stopped, wonder why? Must have had a good reason for doing so. However, I can grasp the idea of running a C/T on a Motorcycle better than putting a Car engine in one...LOL
