Oh, I wouldn't say that!

And this tire might just fit. You should break the ice on it ...

Watch; CT's will get so popular on bikes the frickin' insurance companies will use them as an excuse to not pay even though they are safer and better than today's MT's.

Never fails. It's always about money.

I can't believe there are still people who believe CT's on a bike are a bad thing. The only excuse for it is they haven't tried it for themselves and therefore are completely ignorant. They literally don't know any better.

It sounds like a perfect reason for insurance companies not to pay out. Using a product for something other than its intended use is usually frowned upon in the insurance world.

I have not tried it but that does not make me ignorant. Your opinion is that it works and it's awesome. My opinion is that I'll pay for a motorcycle tire for my motorcycle, and keep the car tires on my cars. Linked 7.62 MG ammo will work in the M24 Sniper Weapon System when de-linked, but it's not desirable or recommended unless in a pinch.

I do not feel right about doing it, and I would not be able to live with myself if I hurt another person or family because I wrecked due to having a car tire on my motorcycle - that's not ignorant, it's logical.

Furthermore, I agree that some motorcycle tires are crap and wear quickly, but I also knew coming into motorcycling that certain things had to be replaced more often than cars.

Bob, don't be so quick to laugh and point fingers at those of us who disagree with the 'darkside' car tire theory

Actually I haven't been quick to do this at all. Read through this thread at all the naysayers. One of them must have 10 or more posts saying why it's wrong but he hasn't put one single mile on a bike with a CT. That, to me, it the ultimate in ignorance. He simply doesn't know any better but feels qualified to tell others why they are wrong for doing something he knows nothing about.

Now, if you are anyone else, is uncomfortable riding a motorcycle, or skiing, hang gliding, or a number of other things you deem illogical ... well ... more power to you. Just don't tell others why they shouldn't do something just because you don't agree with it. Whatever "it" may be.

I'm tired of placating those who presume to know what's better for me.

I liked it much better when we could assume Harley riders actually had a pair.

Hey dude, do your thing. I never once tried to tell you what to do with your scooter...its your bike, your ass, and your reasoning. I agree though, there are a lot of folks here who tend to scream in opposition without any evidence or constructive thought. Don't worry, some of us still have a pair.

And God bless America for being able to be different!

Tell ya what, go to Michelin and Dunlop and tell them they're all wrong about engineering their car and motorcycle tires and then tell them what your qualifications are. All of this so called evidence about the car tire use on m/c's is anecdotel at best. Not exactly what the DOT or Transport Canada or the Insurance Underwriters or America use for their regulations. But, as you say "it works for you", but don't tell us were stupid or have no balls for not drinking the cool-aid.
Personally, I know a couple of chicks that have more balls than most people I've met.

Found that one yesterday, but it requires a tube . I want to run a tubeless if at all possible. I think the Vredestein Comtrac 175/75R16 might work too.
