I have a 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage. Once in a while (even in warm weather) it takes a few turns of the key to get my car to start. When I turn the key, the battery turns on but there are no other sounds.
It usually happens for a few days, and then doesn't do it again for a few weeks. I had similar symptoms last year when I needed a new starter. In the past year, I have had the starter, alternator, and battery replaced (all were necessary and not too surprising because my car has almost 125k miles on it).
Any ideas on what could cause this? Are there simple fixes that could cause these symptoms, like spark plugs or something?
Thanks for your help in advance.
In addition, I'm from NY and the car is used all year round
