Car symbols missing on cars in Terminator?

Anyone know why the symbols on cars, in Terminator The Sarah Connors Chronicles, are missing? Was it the show - Did the producer decide to do it, trying to get the companies to pay for the symbols to be shown. Was it the car companies – do car companies charge for the symbols to be shown and the show did not want to pay?
 
It just means that the show needed vehicles but none of the automakers wanted to be associated with the show. So they had to take off the trademarked logos of the vehicles. Some shows are like that but other shows aren't.

Take Heroes for instance. Since season 1 Nissan has sponsored them. That's why you see so many Nissans in the show. The Versa, Rogue, and now just last Monday the Cube was introduced through the show.
