The sound in my radio used to go in and out before this incident and I had to shimmy the head unit around or smack it until the radio came back on, until one day the radio just completely went. I always thought that a wire was just loose which was the reason for the shimmying. However, when the radio did go completely, I smelled smoke in my truck and had to put the windows down. So my guess is that it is a blown fuse.
I've pulled the head unit out multiple times and messed with the wiring a little bit, but hadn't looked at the fuse on the back of the head unit yet.
So can anyone help and give me a little opinion on what the problem may be? I'm tired of driving around without music and don't want to take it to a shop to get repaired if I can just do it myself. Thanks.
