Car stereo turning off when too loud?

I have a sony cdx gt420ip head unit in my car. i've been having problems with it for a long time, but i don't think it's a problem with the head unit specifically. before i get to the problem i'm currently facing, i believe there is some thing wrong with the wiring. when i take my head unit out and then back in, the wires need to be in a certain position, or else it'll short out. because of this, some times when i drive over speed bumps or pot holes, the head unit will short out, and require some wiggling around to turn back on. also some times when i put the head unit back in, it will turn on, but one of the speakers will not work (a wire shorting out?). okay but now my main problem is that when i turn the volume up too high, the head unit will turn off, then instantly come back on (99% of the time). i thought this had to do with the sub i just put in, but even when the sub is disconnected, the head unit still will turn off and then come back on if the volume is too loud. Could this be a wiring problem or some thing else? thanks.

redo ur wiring, make sure no bare wire is showing, and make sure they are tight. and yea it does sound like a wiring prob you have there
