Car stereo problem. Radio has no sound?

I have a pioneer head unit in my car, but the oddest thing has happened. Since it got cold outside, when i start my car the stereo will play but as soon as the song has a larger bass sound, the CD still plays but no music comes out my speakers. The sub i have in the back will still hit though. It continues to do this for about ten minutes to twenty minutes. Its driving me crazy and i have checked the back of my head unit. All the wires are connected, ground is good, power is good. I'm so confused, do i need to look for a new head unit? It is about three years old. Thanks for whoever helps
Also what i mean is that the speakers will play for a second until a bass part comes in then they stop working, but my sub still works. after about 10 seconds the music comes back on, they goes off this happens repeatedly for ten to twenty minutes then it works fine
 
Your stereo may be fine but you might want to check the fuses in the car. Try to replace them and see what happens. I had the same problem. I thought I blew my speakers all together. Then I talked to a guy that told me to replace my fuses and they started to work fine.
