Hi guys,

I have no experience on installing car/home stereo and is kind of confuse right now.
I have purchased a Kenwood Head unit (KDC-X993) that showing "22 watts RMS/50 peak x 4 channels", but then I realized my car (Mitsubishi Evolution Lancer IX with the Sunroof, Subwoofer, Leather Seats package) has 7 speakers (including the subwoofer I believe). Does that mean it won't be fiting my car or after its installed 2 of the speakers and the subwoofer will not be working?
Is there any kind of adaptor I can get to make this 4 channels head unit work with my 7 speakers? and will it affect the sound quality?

Thanks for answering my question.

well if the car has a factory subwoofer it is most likely amplified with an OEM amplifier which may need to be disconnected so you fry the head unit.
but my car has 6 speakers and when i hooked up my head unit all of them still worked and i did nothing different to mine than any other 4 speaker car

good luck!
