Car sputters and hesitates when accelerating?

Ive got an 83 Camaro with a 4 barrel 350 in it, and Ive been having problems with it sputtering when I step on the gas. This will occur in all 5 gears, but only when I hit the gas a little harder than normal. Is my carb poorly tuned, or is it something completely different? Thanks in advance, Luke
