Car shaking problem.. My 2001 TOYOTA starts shaking when i start the engine ?

My 2001 TOYOTA starts shaking only when i start the engine, Then when I try to accelerate and press on the gas it continues jerking and hardly moves. sometimes it will completely stall on me, or sometimes if I accelerate long enough it will start moving forward slowly till it completely stops shaking and then drives perfectly :S ...and this only happens when I start the engine. Other then that it drives fine.

Does anyone know what the problem could be??
 
it can be a few things... but more n likely a broken engine mounting, or it could be running on 2 cylinders... suspect sticky valves, you rev it, they clear, and your off...

to be honest its not much to go on, but it will be engine or drive train related... it might even be your gearbox / clutch...

but yes, it will get worse and it will break, costing you more to fix eventually...
 
A repair facility can scan the computer and determine the exact cause.

One thing I CAN tell you is one day it will get worse and leave you stranded, so you better get it fixed soon.
