The car skidded on a snowy road and hit a curb. Now the tire rim has a chip out of it. Who do I go to to have it fixed? A general mechanic. a body shop, a tire place? I'm just not sure -- and how much should I expect to pay?
If it is a steel wheel it must be replaced. If it is a painted aluminum wheel they can be repaired for around $125 a each. NO shop is going to touch your rim for $20. You may also have suspension damage from a curb impact so at a minimum you will need to get an alignment done.
