Car problem...1995 Chevy Monte Carlo?

First one is: I got a 1995 Monte Carlo LS and when you really step on the gas, it doesn't shift until 6000 RPMs, is that normal? When I drive it normal and let off the gas, it kind of kicks into the next gear. Is there something wrong with the trans or what? =\

Second one is less serious: where can I find a new grill for it? Mine is all cracked and bubbly and it need to be black since the car is white. I just want a replacement for the stock one but I can't find one.

When you start having shifting problems, the cheapest and easiest thing to do is check and make sure your fluid levels are good. If your tranny fluid is low, fill it and then monitor it for a few days to see if you are losing fliud quickly, if it stays stable you should be good.

If the fluid levels are good on first check, you'll have to get the tranny tested.
