My friend was riding his bike down a main street in Regina, Saskatchewan, in the middle of the street, going against traffic on the line in the middle of the road.
Cars were lined up at a red light, he cut between 2 of the stopped cars. A vehicle came up in the Parking lane and my friend came out from between the two cars.
The driver was going approx. 30-40 kms/hour, so it wasn't just a bump.
My friend has a damaged knee, a possible broken foot on the opposite leg of the knee that was injured, as well as multiple bruises and sprained shoulder.
The driver's car was damaged, approx $3500.00 worth.
According to Saskatchewan traffic laws, any information on whether or not he should have to pay this would be great.
Any examples or information in general.
Thanks.
