Car Mileage Question on a Lease...?

I leased my 2006 Toyota Corolla in June of 2006. On my lease, it stated I am allowed 12,000 per year for each year of the lease (5 years total) and if I go over that mileage, I pay for each mile that I am over. I understand this is common with leases, as they want you to stay under a certain number so they can resell the car with the lowest miles (if it's turned back in at the end.)

My question is...since I bought my car halfway through 2006, do I get the 12,000 miles for that year also? Or not? Or is it just half since it was 6 months in? I ask because at the moment, my car has close to 36,000 miles on it, which is right for 3 years, but I have been driving a lot more lately and need to know if I have the extra 6 or 12 for the 2006 year, or if I don't, I need to watch my miles more closely next year.

I will ask the dealership too, just haven't had time to get there yet. Thanks!!
