I live in Seattle. My car was hit by a drunk driver with no insurance. I was not there when the accident occurred but it was nice of the police officer to wait there and give me the police report number and all the information about the other party. Since I only have basic insurance policy, my agent told me that the insurance company won't reimburse me for repairing the car. I called that guy and left a message but he never returned my call. My agent suggested me to go to the small claim court. Should I do that? and how soon should I do it?
How do I know when he is convicted of DWI? Call the police officer? The police officer already told me that my car was hit by a DUI guy. Does that mean he was already convicted?
