Ok! I have been told by many friends and family this is not the car for me because of the price. here the situation would like to random toughts and advice please and thanks in advance for your time.

first of the car I am looking at is what I think is the best looking car for the price. it is a 2001 Dodge Intrepid. it has 91,000 miles and is a 2001 se model.

The price is the biggest issue they are wanting 4,900 for this car and yes I know it is a little pricey but I have been looking for months for the car and I really get this feeling that this is the car. The way I am looking at this that make sense to me is that if I get 5 years out of this car (which is possible) then that's onlly 1,000 a year and that's not alot on any level considering I make about 11,000 a year (Im 18). DO YOU AGREE?

Finally the car seems to be in excellent shape on everything I can See (mostly basic stuff...everything not under the hood. I'm getting my mechanic to check out this car tomorrow) from, lights, to windsheild wipers, power locks, power windows, speakers, electronic readings)

Finally the car is a V6, with Black alloy wheels, and rear spoiler and their are no major recalls for this model

Whats your thoughts good bad or something else you might know that might be a big factor that I am no aware of

THANKS FOR THE HELP AND SOME OF YOUR TIME

ok,for what its worth that's not a good deal on that car regardless of how you look at it,those cars did give a few problems and that one probably isn't no exception to the rules, secondly if you look in more places there are better deals even on an intrepid,if you do go through with buying this one have your mechanic be real thorough when checking it out because they got it priced at a real high price, even bad tires would detour me away from a deal like that,if it has any engine in it besides the 2.7 your probably getting a pretty good car,but be careful on this one, you,ll have so much money in to that cat that if it breaks down on you ,you,ll have no choice but to repair it,their have been several recalls done on that car and other chrysler products,so have your mechanic take his time when he checks it,if it checks out ok try and get the price down if possible,if their asking that much for it they,ll take less for it,you just have to bargain with them on it,good luck.
