Car help please???????

Okay, I have a car that's very low to the ground, so when I went over a pothole (only going 25 mph) it was pretty bad. But nothing happened right then.

So I drove down the road a little ways and stopped at a stop sign then when I turned the alternator went off, and again on another turn. But when I pulled into my driveway it didn't make noise...I haven't driven it since, think it'll be okkk???? Anyone had anything like this happen before?
The car is a Miata, if that helps

and why wouldn't the alternator go off on my last turn??? I find that weird....

The alternator made a really loud noise, like a squealing.
 
What do you mean alternator went off? The light came on?
Check the belt, check the battery and its connections, sometimes hitting a hole can jar the battery or even bust it internally, you can have your battery tested at any auto zone, and while they are at it they can test your alternator as well. but you do need to get it looked at.
