I just bought a pacesetter header for my 1988 mazda rx7 and we got it installed and everything but when we went to put the O2 sensor back on it it would not fit. The header did not come with any other sensor nor did they say I would need a new one, and every time I go to look for a new one all I am coming up with is stock ones that do not look like they will fit. SO what I am asking is if I am suppose to cap off this hole for the o2 sensor or do I need to find a new one that will fit. All help is appreciated greatly this car has just been trouble from the start and no one seems to know anything a bout it! Thanks!
Do you know about how much that would cost, because if I did so I would have to replace all the gaskets I just put in, I have heard that their are 8 o2 sensors on fuel injected cars. I mean I am thinking about capping the o2 valve off from where it is on the header...do you think that would hurt the car any or make it run oddly?
their is only one hole in the header for the O2 sensor though, that is where I am getting stuck at.
I just found the paper that I recieved with the header and this is what is says "note: some headers will not have the O2 sensor drilled out-If necessary drill out the O2 sensor on the new header at this time."
