Ok so my gf has a 1993 Honda Civic... Not quite sure on the engine size or anything. But here is my question. She was driving down the road when one of her pulleys decided to come off her car.. Well now the car wont run.. She had a guy come out to look at car and said timing belt needed replaced.. Well from my understanding if the timing belt was bad the vehicle would not even try to crank over. I looked at the vehicle and when she tries to start it you can see all the pulleys spinning.. Well you can see the main pulley that makes everything else spin, spinning.. I think that the pulley just was loose or the belts were too tight and the pulley came off.. So my 2 questions are.. With none of the belts being hooked up the car will not crank over not including timing belt.. Second question was the guy she had come look at car which did nothing but look at the belts most likely just trying to get over on her? Thanks for answers....
