Car help - Is there anything we can do to get our car back?!?

Almost three or four years ago, my sister put her car(Honda hatch93) in the shop so that the people there can replace her body kit & give it a paint job. It took them three years to finish, charging $1,500 for it. Soon they raised the priced to $2,500. My sister couldn't pay it in full, so she asked if she can pay at least $500 monthly. They refused and soon sold the car without my sister's permission. The car even had a horrible paint job, with lines visible & missed parts.

So I'm just asking is there anything we can do about it? Like, is it possible to get the car back, or even sue them?
 
probably not much hope of getting the car back. it has a different title now under someone elses name. Plus it is probably beat up . you could sue them. this is why women shouldnt deal with sleazy mechanics. get a man with an iron fist to help you out next time
