seconds then shut off? i have a 1999 vw passat 1.8 and i just got it back from the shop because i needed a new clutch. when i went to go start it the car had no electricity on what so ever. i had to lock it and unlock it manually, the radio didnt work and no lights came on or nothing. when i boosted it it would turn on for 2 seconds and then turn off. i would even press the accelerator and the rpms would climb but it seemed weak and the rpms would quickly decline and the car would shut off. could it be a fuse or something? or maybe a battery ground cable? the battery is very new. could it be a switch that turns the cars power on and off?
