hi there.
Have your dad with you when buyers come if possible, or at least his phone number. Anybody who credit checks the car will be confused by what they find, but there is no legal obstacle to selling the car.
Good luck, Steve.

i bought my car about 2 years ago but i am now having a company car so would like to sell, there is still outstanding finance on the car, when i applied for finance i got turned down so my father took out the finance, the finance is in his name but the car is in my name (Log book), does this mean i can sell the car then give the money to my dad to pay off the finance, as the car is in my name and i have no finance in my name?

You probably won't be able to sell the car if the finance is linked to the car, as potential buyers can do checks eg hpi and that will show there is outstanding finance on the car, unless the finance was a bank loan and not connected to the car.
