Car deck's stereo display very dim. Can I make it more visible?

My car has an old car stereo deck, its a "Blaupunkt Vancouver CD126". When its really sunny outside or in the car I can see the display fine, but once it starts the get dark you cant see the display. The light on the display is very, very dim so I cant see it at night. Is there a way to be able to see the display better? Is there a bulb in the display I can replace? I can detach the front face plate of the deck.
