Car crime and the media?

I am doing an essay in college on car crime and street racing and so on, and what influences it. Your answers will be used as my primary research, so please be honest about what you think.

And I was wondering, what do you think of the fast and the furious and gone in 60 seconds as role models for younger drivers?

Please include some of these in your answer:
~ Is it glamourised in any way?
~ Do you think that it provokes copy cat behaviour?
~ Is the age rating right for it?

Please note, I want to know what YOU think not anyone else :)
