During engine overhaul(piston ring, valve seal, head gasket replacement) I had to drain the coolant. there were more than 3 L drained. And after rebuilding my engine I started adding coolant through the expansion tank, however after adding around 0.3-0.5L tank went full and does not take any more. I started my engine by leaving radiator cap opened, however the coolant level in expansion tank remains stable.
My own suspition is: it could be thermostat problem? It does not open and coolant does not reach the whole circuit/system? BUT, I did not touch the thermostat, I unscrewed one bolt of it only and screwed it back in, after realising I dont need to remove it.
Temperature goes up to maximum too quickly(I drove half a mile from home to test and had to return back), what to do? How to remove air from system?
.
P.S. I am asking here since I cant access any webpage which is categorized as Vehicles. They are blocked in my work server.
By the way, if you are russian speaker and if its easier to explain in RU then welcome!
Thanks
