CAR BUYING HELP WITH BMW!?

I have found a BMW 2000 328i. It is navy. Long story short, it could be mine for 8700 roughly. It books retail 7700-9900 about. I got it inspected and the left lower control arm needs replaced, the check engine like came on and the code read something to do with the fuel system and it needs tires. My inspector shop said it is a solid car and after the control arm is fixed I should be set. Its roughly 500 and it needs another 200 in minor work/cosmetic. all in all with tax im going to be 10000 into this car. I like it a lot, but need someone with experience and more rationality than I have right now. Thanks everyone
