Car accident problems?

Long story short on May 1st, 2009 I got was rear-ended in my friends car when we were going 45 and the person who hit us was going 60-70 mph. I didn't feel much on impact and just felt sore the day off but the day and then on the pain began. I started going to a Chiropractor the day after and went three times a week for a month. I stopped and that was stupid because two weeks after stopping, I'm in soo much pain. Everyday I'm just in horrible pain and my doctor gave me three different pain killers (Vicodin, Tramadol, Vicodin Extra Strenght) but when I take them I'm always ultra sleepy by 8pm-11pm and it's summer!

When I don't take them, I'm just in pain all day. Pretty much I have no energy, motivation, and am always sleepy. I get really mad easily now too, one little thing will set me off and I'm pissed for the rest of the day. I just had my x-rays taken, and I stopped going to the massage therapist too.

I'm sick of getting any treatments and talking to any doctors, every time I end up talking to my doctor/therapist/or going to get my pills filled I get so pissed off, these people really just get under my skin in the state I'm in so I can't be seeing any of them.

All in all, what should I do? I'm 17 years old and just started summer, I'm about go to into my senior year and I just always feel so tired and mad. Should I continue to take my medicine, seek different doctors, just stick with the massage therapist?

I'm just really confused and upset and need options.

First off, sue the mofo who hit you!!! Sue his insurance, sue him, sue his dog. Seriously.

It's very likely you have a more serious problem. I was rear-ended in '94 and it was about the same - I was doing 35, he was doing about 70. My therapy went about like yours and I finally went to bone doctor (forget what they're called). After some tests they found I had a ruptured disc.

The discs keep the vertebrae apart. When a disc ruptures, it collapses. The vertebrae grind on each other plus the nerves that exit right there get pinched.

Oh yeah, hurts. Hurts bad.

I had a cervical fusion and that cleared it up. Mostly.

Dont' let this sit and wait; it will only get worse and could get much worse.

Yes keep seeing your Dr & deal with issue. It's not going away soon. I have no advice to give you that your Dr probably hasn't already said. You should post this question under medical not automotive even though it was caused by a car. Sorry to hear about this. Good luck!

sorry to hear this. but grow up it will probably be with you the rest of your life. if not happy check with a different doctor. or ask about different pills.
