i have a brand new car 4 months old, which i leased. Last night I lost control of my car after almost hitting a deer and smashed the whole side of my car. i hit a sign and uprooted a small tree. I am fine, I have insurance, no other vehicle was involved. I did not get a police report because I was so nervous so i went home. The damage is around $13,000. I have full coverage everything on the car. Is it ok that I did not get a police report? will my insurance company be able to process the claim without the report? no other cars were involved.
I called my insurance company. They didn't say anything, but the idiot girl i talked to wasn't very bright. I got a rental car now the car is in the shop-- sitting there waiting for the adjuster.
Yeah my deductible is $500. I am ok with paying that. I was just wondering about the police report as the main issue. No one was hurt I just destroyed a sign and uprooted a tree.
I didn't know if they wouldn't put the claim through with out a report.
