Car Accident advice!?

So my boyfriend was at a red light and got rear ended, which pushed him into the car in front of him. He got damage to my car in both the front and back and the car in front of him didn't get anything so he left the scene. As soon as the car accident happened, he jumped out of the car. The person who hit him told him that someone else hit her and fled the scene. But he didn't see anyone. The police report says that 4 cars were involved because that is what she is claming happened. But we have reason to believe she lied. Her car has about 2 little scratches to the back , that easily could (and we believe) were there before this accident took place. Now her insurance company, Liberty Mutual is saying that because "someone hit into her and fled the scene" that they are not liable for my damages. We have the worst damages, equaling over $2000. The car in front of us didn't claim any damages and she also isn't claiming damages because it's so minor. She has little damage to her front (which is the part that hit my car hard enough to move me far enough to slam into the car in front of my boyfriends) and minor scratches (hardly can see them...it's really a joke) on the back. What should I do? I know she's lying about telling us someone else hit her and left the scene but because the accident report states exactly what she said and because there is scratches there (even if it was before), they are saying they won't cover the charges for my damages. Help me please!
