(1989 Honda Civic).........? Hello all. I just got my drivers license about 2 weeks ago and my dad decided to give me his old car!....................a 1989 Honda Civic to use for free. He even gave it in for a tuneup and added a new battery to it. The car works fine and I love it even though it looks kinda old. The only problem is that the accelerator doesn't work sometimes. It has happened to me 3 times, twice in the parking lot where it wouldn't pull out and once at a stop sign where I braked and it refused to accelerate right after. The only way to fix it is to turn off the engine and turn it back on again but I find it to be pretty strange for the accelerator to not work because everything else does. The radio, the lights, the air conditioner etc, the car just won't move. Does anyone have any idea as to why this happens to my car?. Thank you.
