I was watching an old tv show called the master and there were references in it to something called the "Java Tiger", in the show it mentioned that the java tiger was a golden statute of a tiger encrusted with precious gems which was given to captain cook (I think) as a gift of friendship by a local tribe, captain cook later presented the tiger to the Chief of another country as a gift, that tribe later killed captain cook and hid the statute in one of the caves near Hawaii and has since became lost - was such a gift given to cook or was it all made up for the telly.
