I have a Sony Bravia TV and recently got a HD receiver for it. I have my cable from the wall plugged into the box, and an HDMI cable running from the box into the TV. I have the remote programmed to the TV, it turns it on and off, ect. But not matter what I do, I can't get my remote to bring up the guide of my channels, or change the channel or anything at all.
I don't know whether or not I'm supposed to be in normal TV mode on my TV, but it wouldn't make sense since there's no cable running into that input anyway, it's running from the wall -> box -> TV (HDMI input 1).
I've been trying to figure this out for quite some time, and it's getting very frustrating. Seems like everyone else has it made so easy to be able to watch TV and whatnot, but I can't tell if they're watching TV from the normal TV mode or the HMDI mode or what.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks
